President Qin's Little Wife Is The Strongest

Chapter 88

The sharp change from his entrance could have been picked by even a little child as everyone froze in what they were doing just so they could.

From that distance, the both of their eyes met and Rong Yue looked away immediately, unwilling to create any drama with him.

However, Qin Yichen’s brows crinkled in dissatisfaction as he saw her turn her head away.

With two boys beside her, was his little girl now ignoring him?

Also, he had gifted her the jewelry set because he had intended that she wore it here, clearly, his little girl had not gotten his hint.

“Isn’t that the little girl from the other day?” Mo Fan asked as he followed Qin Yichen’s gaze and saw Rong Yue.

All dressed up, she looked even better than she had the other day and Mo Fan chuckled mischievously.

“Seems like your little flower is starting to attract other insects too.” He jabbed before finally giving the hall a quick sweep.

.....

Not only had Mo Fan noticed Qin Yichen’s gaze, as the number one bachelor in the capital, a lot of girls had him on their wishlist and had clearly been noticing his every action from the moment he entered.

“You can’t tell me that vixen has attracted Second Young master too? Everyone says he doesn’t like women, no?” One girl asked with curiosity as she looked between them.

“You are imagining things, he must have just been looking at the hall, besides, isn’t that vixen focused on just eating? There’s no way he can find someone like that attractive.” Someone else argued, closing the matter swiftly. Even though some of them had their reservations, it was also a truth that no one was willing to accept, after all, in so many ways, they had also tried to get this same man and failed.

The young master of the Pang Family and the master all came down from the high table to welcome Qin Yichen and Mo Fan.

Although Mo Fan was playful and reckless, everyone knew that Qin Yichen had taken him like an adoptive family making him have more than just the backing of the second teir Mo family.

While everyone in the hall scurried to win the favor of the two new highly esteemed guests, Rong Yue, Wang An and Wang had taken to enjoying sampling the food that had been placed there.

“This cake is also quite nice.” Wang Bo said as he passed a small plate to Rong Yue.

“Hmmm, nice.” Rong Yue agreed as she took some more bites of the chocolate cake.

It was only when she was finally full that the three of them decided that they wanted to walk around the hall. But with Rong Yue’s presence, they also couldn’t be too rash.

Just as they were about to leave, Wang Lei came back to meet them.

“You two have all been eating all this while, can’t you just accompany her?” Wang Lei scolded them before turning to Rong Yue.

“Are you full? I heard there are some shrimps on the other side” he said with a doting expression that had his two brothers almost vomiting blood.

Didn’t he just accuse them of being food centered? Who was the hypocrite now?

“I’m full for now, we can check it out later.” After eating, Rong Yue felt she could now pay more attention to knowing what was going on around her.

Without anyone deciding, the party had people split in four groups, signifying the second and third teir families. Since in occasions like this, they couldn’t allow women to stay with men, each sides had a clear line leaving only people from the Wang family and Rong Yue not having a clear division.

“Our family can be said to be somewhere in between at the moment. Previously, we had belonged to the second tier but there has been some recent drops in our finances and since a lot of the younger generation are still in school, we have been unable to recover as quickly as we wanted.” Wang Lei explained to her in a low voice and Rong Yue nodded in understanding.

Now that she knew what their challenges was, if someday, there was a way to help them, she would of course not hesitate to do so.

After all, she had only spent two days here but they had made her feel like she was a part of them in all sense of it.

“To go back up is not hard, it’s all about leveraging, also, you have to maintain a strong hand on the younger ones, it is easy to be distracted in this generation.” She said as she looked at how a lot of people resorted to their phones or gossip.

Even in schools, it was exactly like that.

The both of them talked on for a while, watching as several families presented their gifts to the old master Pang.

When it was finally time for the painting association to start their painting, Rong Yue took her knitted bag from Wang An and stepped forward to where Elder Wang was.

“Yue’er, is everything okay?” He asked carefully. He had already discussed with his sons and they had all agreed that if there was any challenge at all, it was better for Rong Yue to not compete than to compete and be embarrassed.

“I’m fine, I just finished eating.” She replied and then looked around at the other competitors.

Not only was she looking around, everyone in the hall was surprised that the girl standing there was the Master Wang’s student that they had all be curious about.

After bringing out one of her works, news had spread very rapidly in their circle, allowing them know that there was someone on the level of Bai Lu and Luo Yunxi who could paint.

More than just that, if one looked at her age, it was easy to see that even the youngest amongst the previous six was more than five years older than her!

That had gone beyond being talented to being a genius.

Also, some girls that had held some fantasy that the prettier she was, the more useless she would be could already feel their hopes fading away.

Rong Yue felt a gaze on her after she had retracted her gaze, from her sweep just now, she could feel that it was coming from where Bai Lu was standing.

However, she decided to ignore it and waited to her to retract her gaze.

“Grand Elder Pang, we have decided that instead of just gifting you a painting, we would let our youngsters all display their skills and you can pick your favorite amongst them.

Since their skills are all jaw breaking, we intend to gift the rest to the charity in your name.”

After the vice president had explained the matter, grand Elder Pang nodded in satisfaction, after all, to watch someone paint was in a way, another type of gift.

Moreover, he was being given a chance to see the younger generation that was coming into the light.

“Ahh! Good! Good, it would be better to do it in the other hall where people are seated and are much more calmer to watch these talented ones.” Like that, he moved the painting forward and the students and their masters all stepped backwards.

The whole time, Qin Yichen didn’t take his gaze away from his little girl.

It was almost as if he wouldn’t have another chance to keep that face in his memory and wanted to use the advantage that he got now to soak in and memorize all of her features lest he forgot it.

“With how you are staring at her, people would soon start to figure out that there’s something between you both.” Mo Fan said with a tut and swept his gaze around the room to be sure no one was paying too much attention.

Yet, with Qin Yichen’s title, position and looks, it was almost impossible for something like that to happen and so he could only sigh in resignation.

“It’s even better, that way, all of these boys would know to stay away from her.” Qin Yichen said coldly, his eyes flashing with a sharp glint.

Mo Fan chuckled and then shifted his mind from the pair of developing lovers as he studied the people in the room.

To everyone in the world, he had an identity of being a reckless and wasteful son, yet, only Qin Yichen was allowed to see his true self and still let him be the way he wanted to be when he was outside.

Finally, the presenting of gifts ended and guests were invited to move to the other hall where the banquet was to be held.

To avoid a large crowd of moving, names were called out one after the other as family names. So that everyone in the family could move with their representatives and go into the other hall.

Unfortunately, instead of starting from the top, they started from the bottom, wanting the lower families to have sat down in wait for the higher ones.

After all the third tier families were called, Rong Yue was surprised when they started with the second their families and they had still not called the Wang Family and so she shot him a quizzical gaze.

“Our family is connected to the Pang family by marriage and so they would allow us to have an higher seating than others in their own occasion.” He explained and Rong Yue nodded in understanding.

“The Wang Family.” The person in charge finally called and Rong Yue stood up with everyone else in the family, however, before they could leave, someone from one of the second tier families that were still waiting spoke up.

“I don’t suppose that the young lady is from your family no? Elder Wang?”

“She’s my student. That automatically makes her my family.” Elder Wang said with his face going from its impassive one to a scowling one.

“I don’t think it works that way. If she has no ranking, she can sit here till it’s time for the competition, bloodline has always been the only pass.” The young wife said arrogantly.

Rong Yue looked back, taking note of her appearance in mind without allowing any emotions to show on her face.

“And so do you mean that your bloodline is more valuable than that of my woman?” A cold and lazy voice rang out from the high table shocking everyone in the room speechless.

His woman?
