President Qin's Little Wife Is The Strongest

Chapter 83

The moment the car drove into the compound, Rong Yue spotted Master Wang Shu rushing over while two young boys, who looked to be in their early twenties were by his side, trying to caution him and to also be sure that nothing happened to him.

Rong Yue felt her anger dissolve for a moment as she saw his eager and delighted face making her rush down from the car and hurry towards him.

As for the two young ones by his side, they were stunned out of their senses as they saw Rong Yue and they froze in their steps.

“Yue’er! You finally know to see this, your old master.” Master Wang Shu said excitedly as he pulled her in for a hug. Clearly, with her, he had put aside all his reservations and saw her as his family already.

“You forced me down here.” Rong Yue teased as she hugged him back. The care and genuine affection in the hug made her feel comfortable and also made a part of her that she didn’t know feel safe.

“Y...you are Rong Yue?” The boy beside Master Wang Shu asked, interrupting their moment as the tips of his ears tinted red sharply.

“Yes, this is Rong Yue, grandfather’s disciple.” Wang Lei said as he finally walked up to them.

“Miss Rong Yue, these are my two cousins from my second uncle. Wang Bo and Wang An.” He said while shooting the two stupefied cousins a glare.

.....

The both of them quickly regained themselves and introduced themselves properly to Rong Yue.

“Don’t make her stand outside for nothing,” Master Wang chided and then pulled Rong Yue inside with him.

When they got inside, she was surprised to see that more than ten people were waiting there, giving her a sense of deja vu like when she had gone to the Sun family place after their examinations.

“Grandfather told the whole family that his precious disciple was coming which is why you are seeing everyone here, at least, apart from people that aren’t around in the city.” Wang Lei explained and Rong Yue nodded in understanding.

She could already tell from the brimming excitement on their faces that they certainly had been looking forward to her arrival.

A lot of them showed surprise, while some showed looks that gave away that they were impressed when they saw her.

“This is my disciple, Rong Yue.” Master Wang introduced her properly.

“If any of you is rude or acts out of line to her, I’ll have the person’s income for the month cut off.” He threatened playfully and chuckles rang out in the room.

Since she was holding on to him, Rong Yue felt his pulse and was able to detect that he was getting exhausted, so she bowed her head slightly in general greeting and then led him to sit down.

“You could have waited for me to come in and meet you, but you have exerted quite some energy in rushing out to meet me, so your pulse is reading as slightly weak and stressed right now.” Rong Yue told him as she sensed his refusal to sit in one place.

Everyone in the room looked at Rong Yue, impressed.

“You also know medicine?” One of them blurred out curiously, after all, their grandfather had told them that she had only just written her entrance examinations for college.

“Very little, my mother practises ancient traditional medicine and has passed down some of her knowledge to me.” She explained.

After making sure their grandfather was okay, everyone in the family for the boys younger and the fathers with their wives all greeted Rong Yue kindly before allowing Wang Lei who was already more familiar with her to lead her to rest.

“I never would have expected that you knew medicine too. Is my grandfather okay?” He asked, thinking of how his old man avoided going to the hospital like it was taboo.

“Like I said, I’m not that proficient in it but his vitals seem okay, he just doesn’t get enough physical exercise so a little one would have him exerting stress. You can have a professional trainer come to help him do it right daily till his body gets better at that.”

Considering the lifestyle that master Wang Shu lived, it was not hard to understand why he was not used to physical activities when he was either sitting in front of a painting or checking out some.

He was also someone that enjoyed reading literary works which meant more time spent sitting down.

“We arranged this room for you, you can rest and when you feel better or more comfortable, you can come down to join us.” Wang Lei told her before leaving her alone in the room.

The style in the room was simple and they had used plain colors that made it easier for her to adapt too. She plopped down on the bed as she saw her two bags by a corner in the room already.

Because of the rush of leaving and all, she hadn’t gotten the time to tell a certain someone that she was in the capital and also to tell her mother that she was fine.

“Mom, I’m at the capital already.” She told her mom the moment she picked the call and Rong Xia heaved a sigh in relief at the news.

“How is your master? Hope there’s no pressing matter? Are they treating you okay?”

“Hmmm, they are treating me okay, I just got here and everyone is fine, I’ll call you once I have rested some more.” She told her mom, ending the call very quickly and then called Qin Yichen.

The first call went through but wasn’t picked up and Rong Yue rolled her eyes in dissatisfaction. She was about to send him a message and wait till he sees it when the phone rang again.

“Yue’er?” Qin Yichen’s voice sounded hoarse and distant as he picked, making Rong Yue frown a little at that. However, she kept it at the back of her mind and spoke up.

“Guess where I am?”

“In your house?” Qin Yichen asked, feigning cluelessness and Rong Yue chuckled at his act.

“Mmmm, my master called me over for some painting competition that he wants me to participate in....” She said, allowing the words to hang in the hair.

“Qin Yichen, are you okay?” Rong Yue asked, her expression falling away from the playful and teasing one she had a minute ago.

Qin Yichen sneezed and then coughed gently before speaking up.

“There’s nothing, I just have a little cold. Where are you Yue’er?”

“Isn’t your master in the capital?” He asked after some seconds.

“Hmmm, I’m in the capital at the moment.”

From wanting to surprise him with the news and also making sure that she didn’t run into him and get embarrassed at not telling him, Rong Yue was now more worried of how he sounded on the phone which was a lot unlike him.

“Is there someone to watch mother? I can send tell the people around to keep an eye on the house and her for safety reas....” Without completing his words, another bout of cough racked through his body and the hoarse and dryness that accompanied it was clear for Rong Yue to hear.

“Is there someone with you? You should take some water.” She murmured as she tried to think of what she could do.

She had only just arrived here and it would seem slightly weird to ask that they allowed her to go to see someone, considering that he had been the one to ask her to come over also.

However, she also didn’t want to leave Qin Yichen alone.

“I got some meds from the pharmacy already...” another bout of cough

“Is everything okay? Are you comfortable there? If you aren’t comfortable, I’ll send someone to pick you.” Qin Yichen offered and Rong Yue rolled her eyes, annoyed that he was still thinking of her even when he was so sick.

“I’ll ask master when the competition is so that I can pay a visit to you by tomorrow.”

The both of them talked for a little while more and Rong Yue ended the call as she didn’t want to make him continue talking while his throat was that uncomfortable.

“It’s okay, focus on practising for the competition, I’ll feel better by tomorrow.” Qin Yichen said one last time before ending the call.

He smiled as he looked at his phone screen.

For this little girl, the stronger he acted, the more she would most likely not notice him.

If he had asked them to meet originally, Rong Yue would have refused and not want to disturb her master. Now that she felt he was sick, he was sure that her free day tomorrow would be occupied by him and not Wang Lei.

As for Rong Yue, she was worried sick and even sent her mother a message to ask what was the best way to take care of cough for him.

Little did she know that she who had always been very cautious and careful had fallen into Qin Yichen’s well laid plan.
