President Qin's Little Wife Is The Strongest

Chapter 54

Although the Sun family recognized her, it was mere friendship and both children were still in high school which meant that it wasn’t a sustainable relationship.

And in a circle like theirs where people got married to expand their connections and depth, someone like Rong Yue was not a suitable candidate.

Yet, most of the men there couldn’t help themselves from constantly glancing at her while some had some lewd thoughts of just playing around with her.

Finally, the first person that walked up to them was the daughter of the city’s governor.

“Brother Yan, congratulations one more time. I’m so proud that you are achieving all those dreams that we had from when we were just kids.” She said heartily while shooting a side glance at the brothers and then a glare at Rong Yue.

“Xiao Li, let’s find somewhere to sit and not interfere with the party.” Rong Yue whispered to Sun Li as soon as she sensed the energy the girl that had just arrived was sending was off.

Although she could deal with her if anything happened, it was still better to not let anything happen at all.

Sun Li nodded and was about to lead her away when Sun Yan also trailed after them.

.....

“First brother.” Sun Fan pulled him back discreetly.

“You can’t leave your own party!” He chided while Sun Kai blocked the both of them with his own body while facing them.

“Is anything wrong, brother Yan?” The governor’s daughter asked, her eyes had not missed the fact that Sun Yan had tried to follow after the two girls.

However, she shook her head, he was probably just trying to watch his sister. After all, it was no secret to close family friends like her that even though he was the one that Sun Li feared the most, he doted on her the most also.

She stayed with them and talked for some while more before leaving to socialize with some other people at the party. Sun Fan who had been keeping his thoughts all this while rushed to his brother with eyes glistening with gossip.

“First brother, do you perhaps like that young girl from before?” Sun Fan asked and even though he felt he should be happy for his brother finally showing interest in a girl, he was also worried since this was their first time meeting her.

She was also quite well behaved for someone of her age, it would be terrible if she was just acting all this.

“First brother can’t just like her so quickly, you are over thinking.” Sun Kai hurriedly dismissed his brother, his eyes going in the direction of the two girls walking away.

Although she was their little sister’s classmate, her poise and every step seemed like it had come from someone that was already five years older.

“I have.” Sun Yan said curtly making the two brothers stunned and Sun Fan’s jaw slackened with shock.

“You have what?” Sun Kai asked, still unwilling to believe that was what his brother meant.

“I Have taken an interest in Rong Yue.” Sun Yan replied and then walked away from the two of them to meet other guests.

Although he really wanted to turn and talk to Rong Yue, he also considered how that would look to the image of the young girl if he did that in public.

After a minute of him leaving, Sun Fan finally regained himself.

“Didn’t I tell you! I saw it the moment brother saw her and how he was reacting to her. I have never seen him behave like that before.” Sun Fan exclaimed.

Even though he was excited and surprised at their brother finally liking a young girl, there was also a hint of worry in his eyes as he wondered what would happen from that point on.

Was she just a beauty vase or one of those girls that would usually have beautiful appearance but their hearts were already blackened with schemes and pretense.

“I don’t know if this is a good thing.” Sun Kai confessed as he looked at his brother’s retreating back while his mind spurned with so many ideas.

Before long, the both of them also parted ways and went to entertain guest, each person with their own thoughts.

On the other hand, Rong Yue and Sun Li had gone quite some distance from the party hall.

“What do you do in your spare time?” Rong Yue asked curiously. From what she could see, the Sun family was quite lax and it made her curious about what Sun Li’s life was behind all those carefree girl.

Somehow, even with all the brothers and doting, Sun Li felt like this was the first time someone genuinely wanted to know her as she looked in Rong Yue’s eyes. It made the girl want to share her deepest thoughts with someone.

Have someone hear the things that made her happy more than anything.

“I’ll show you one of it, for the others, you can see them when we meet another time outside school.” Sun Li said. At the same time, she held Rong Yue’s hand and hurried her towards another building that was just close to the one where the party was being thrown.

“This is the main building where my family lives in.” Sun Li explained as she led her into the house. Save for two servants that were walking, the entire house was empty and Sun Li led Rong Yue upstairs till they stopped at the room at the end of a hallway.

“This is my room, I’m up here most times.” Sun Li said as she opened the door to the room.

Rong Yue nodded and followed her inside.

Yet, what she saw left her even more confused. Rong Yue’s room was the typical girly room.

It was huge, a lot more big than Rong Yue’s new room and had about four doors. It was nude and had a lot of purple and looked like a regular room. Why did she spend all her time in here?

Rong Yue patiently looked at every part of the room, searching for something that would give her an hint as to why so much time was spent there but she found none.

Just as she was about to ask, Sun Li spoke up.

“My mom designed my room on my sixteenth birthday. It would break her heart if I don’t like the theme and aesthetics.”

“Follow me. This is where I spend all my time if I’m home and up here alone.”

As she talked, Sun Li opened one of the doors in the room and Rong Yue followed her.

A walk in closet.

“You love clothes?” Rong Yue asked, although it was hard to guess, it was also not impossible.

Sun Li looked like someone that had a keen eye and even though her behavior was more inclined towards her third brother where they showed a different persona, it was indeed possible that there was this side of her.

“No, not clothes.”

“This.” Sun Li said as she parted a curtain that Rong Yue hadn’t noticed all this while.

At first glance, it looked like it was some curtain where someone could change behind it, but the moment Sun Li parted the curtain, Rong Yue realized that she could have never been more wrong.

“Wow.” Unexpected surprise filled her stunning features.

“I didn’t see this coming.” She muttered and then moved forward to where Sun Li was.
